BIOGRAPHY

When it comes to offering the highest level of real estate brokerage services, Horizon Properties holds strongly to the conviction that bigger is not necessarily better. With this in mind, a small and diverse team of professionals dedicated to providing their clients and customers a more thorough and comprehensive approach to either marketing or identifying appropriate properties was organized.  All of Horizon’s brokers are longtime Durango residents and know the area extremely well. We live the Durango/Southwest Colorado lifestyle to the fullest.  All of us have an extensive background as area brokers ranging from 15 to 35 years in the business. In addition, we have over the years accumulated experience in building, real estate development and real estate investment both personally and professionally.

The company has enjoyed the benefit of past affiliations with a number of international real estate concerns such as Christie’s Great Estates, Residence International, Classic Properties International and LuxuryRealEstate.com. These connections, developed over 35 years of Horizon’s operations, have served to strengthen Horizon’s networking base.  

It is a challenge for all of us to keep up with the rapidly evolving technological world.  Horizon strives to keep pace and remain on the forefront of the changing times. Our brokers recognize the importance of remaining dynamic in the business and marketing approach.  We can not wait for the potential client or customer to find us, it is incumbent on us to go out and find that person.  The internet opens huge doors in that regard and Horizon is continuously looking to strengthen those virtual avenues.  

One of the cornerstones of Horizon Properties is strict adherence to the old adage about treating people in the same manner that we, ourselves, would want to be treated. We believe that the individuals who choose to place their trust in us deserve trustworthiness, and more, in return. Through the years the firm has represented people from all walks of life, in a variety of transactions from starter homes to fine estates, from smaller acreage to larger ranches, as well as commercial and business opportunities. Horizon's brokers can provide either buyer or seller representation and are versed in exchange transactions.
