BIOGRAPHY

Carla Bandera

I began my Real Estate career in Colorado and after a few years moved back to my native Texas and continued on that career path. Almost 12 years now in the Real Estate industry and I know this is what I was meant to do. Not that I didn’t enjoy my previous 16 years in the Hospitality Industry as Tourism Director for the Grapevine Convention and Visitors Bureau and Executive Director of the Granbury Convention and Visitors Bureau... Real Estate is what I find rewarding. Initially after moving back to Texas, I was honored to serve in the position of Business Development/Relocation Director and Personal Assistant to Shirley Hooks, Owner/Broker of Century 21 Shirley Hooks. What a great opportunity Shirley afforded me; learning so much from someone so knowledgeable and respected in the industry. About three years ago, I ventured back into direct sales and know it was the perfect decision for me. Since that time, I have continually been one of the top agents for Century 21 and in the area market. I enjoy one on one with buyers and sellers, helping to make their experience not only less stressful, but also try to add some fun. I believe being detail oriented and a people person is what has enhanced my success. Awards include: 6 Million Dollar Producer, Emerald and Ruby awards and most important to me... Quality Service Award.

Steve Fortner

Upon graduating from college with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree, I began a 30 year career with GTE/Verizon in the communications industry. Upon retirement at the age of 52, I looked back and the job where I got the most personal satisfaction was the time I spent as a salesperson and sales manager. That led me to a second career in sales working for a company for five years that sold equipment and software solutions to communications companies.  In 2004, I moved from the Dallas/Ft Worth area to Granbury. During my second career, I found the travel required for my sales position began to make my job much less fun. As a person who has always enjoyed working, I reflected on what was the most rewarding part of my career and again went back to my enjoyment of one on one, face to face interaction with people in a sales role. After much thought about how I could find professional satisfaction and work directly with people, I decided to pursue a career in real estate. In 2007 I became a licensed realtor. I set high standards for myself to provide a service that a large percentage of the people need, buying and selling real estate. Immediately I worked to provide a quality level of service that I expected from my many corporate relocations. Subsequently, I became a top producer in the Granbury area. My philosophy is not just to provide a service of buying and selling real estate but also to help them become part of our community. With my sphere of acquaintances, I find satisfaction in helping people who started as clients and ended up as friends. I find it particularly rewarding for my friends to call for help in finding someone to help address the many needs that come with owning a home or who to go to for any professional need. I feel my sincere willingness to help is the main reason for my continued success as a top producing realtor. I have built my business on referrals.
