Monique & Jim Lea have always been lovers of European culture: cobblestone streets, medieval castles, striking architecture designed by master artisans, pieces of history to be enjoyed for centuries to come. Jim was raised in France, and both he and Monique spent considerable amounts of time traveling Europe, studying its history and experiencing its vibrant culture. When their paths brought them to Chattanooga, it was almost inevitable that they would fall in love: first with each other, and then with the beauty of Chattanooga’s culture and history—so much so that they wanted to be part of its rebirth.
With the zeal of a passionate 20-something, Monique got her real estate license and began going door-to-door, introducing herself to residents as Their Realtor: a neighbor and lover of Chattanooga’s historic communities and older homes. While other agents saw run-down neighborhoods, Monique loved their character, integrity, and charm, perhaps because these qualities reflected the values that guide her in life and in business, sustaining the bond she forges with buyers and sellers who become her neighbors and friends.
Years later, Chattanooga has undergone a transformation that has garnered national recognition for the renaissance of its once-dilapidated downtown and the redevelopment of its riverfront. Monique’s effort to promote the value of these communities has resulted in higher real estate values for historic Chattanooga and a stronger community to support our families. She has committed her entire team to knowing and understanding the local community better than anyone else, and she uses her expertise in Chattanooga to maximize the value of every transaction and to exceed the expectations of her clients during one of the most important times in their lives: relocation.
“Buying a home is one of the largest investments a family will make—emotionally and financially. We want to make this experience fun and rewarding, emotionally and financially, for our clients. We’ve become experts in this community because it’s our community, and we love to share it!”
