Lindsey began her real estate career in 2007 when all of her colleagues were leaving the business due to the declining market conditions. Not knowing what it was like to be in real estate before the challenging market decline, she gained her market knowledge by getting out into the community and viewing and selling foreclosure homes all over Hillsborough and Pasco counties. Focusing on one community was not an option at this time, you needed to become an expert on a wide variety of geographies in order to persevere. As the market continued to struggle, Lindsey was introduced to a real estate coach who asked her THE question that resonates to this day... "What do you want from real estate? What is your goal?" That was the turning point in her career, as the answer was "To be a Top Producer in Tampa Bay by helping families buy or sell a home."
At her coach’s advice, she left the brokerage she was currently with for a larger company that had a broker that became a true mentor to her. That broker introduced her to structure and the working by referral systems. That year of 2010, and pregnant with her second child, Lindsey went from closing an average of 2 transactions per month to 12 transactions per month, within 100 days. At that point the business was flourishing, and to maintain the balance between business and family life we all experience, the creation of The Fowkes Group began. Today the Fowkes Group has grown to a collection of 4 members, which produce just under 20 million dollars in volume per year and have been recognized with the Chairman’s Circle Gold Award as the top 2% of the Berkshire Hathaway Home Services Network nationwide for gross commission income and units for 3 years consecutively, one of Trulia's TOP 100 agents in the State of FL, and a top producer within her office. This business of people and real estate has now become her passion and it shows!
