The bioarchitecture makes use of the advantage of natural insulating and building materials, such as wood, cork, terracotta, stone, bricks, lime and non-toxic paints, for the design of healthy and comfortable housing. 
The excellent condition of the property allowed to preserve the original thick walls, made of stone in the manor's house and brick in the farmhouse, avoiding the use of reinforced concrete and the related problems of Faraday cage or positive ion emission. 
A great attention has been paid to the thermal and acoustic insulation, provided by the use of cork instead of polystyrene. 
The electrical system has been designed to avoid electro-smog and dangerous magnetic fields. 
The plasters are made of five whitewash layers (as in the Venetian style without the final smooth finish). 
The ground floor of the manor's house features cotto floors, while the upper floors are made of larch wood.
