Welcome to this fabulous, resort-like, home in Cambridge Narrows, New Brunswick. A long, narrow graveled lane, winds its way through maples, birch, oak & cedar trees until it suddenly opens to a magnificently manicured field, with flower gardens, apple trees, shrubs of every sort and mingled throughout are herbs and berries.

A paved circular driveway brings you to a picturesque contemporary, 2-storey home with enormous custom windows, interlocking stone garden walls and foot paths. At the door, an inconspicuous camera announces visitors and can be seen on monitors from an automated communications system inside, officially known as the Building Automation System (BAS). This system is designed so that the owner/operator can control or change any function – heat (14-zone geothermal heat/cooling system), lights, in-ground irrigation (8-zone) and alarm system, from anywhere in the world.

Not only is BAS convenient and cost effective (no need for caretakers during long term absences) but it’s also energy efficient.

However, should there be a certain comfort-level in having someone on the property while the owner is absent there is a convenient carriage house (in view of the main house) with a fully-furnished one bedroom apartment. From the balcony of this apartment, there is a large view of the grounds, main house and water.

island, 45 sq. ft. bar room, Grecian-style half-bath, spacious eating area with doors to deck on one end and a spacious, cheery sunroom with a magnificent view on the other end – to the elegant sunken living room with it’s cosy fireplace, charming built-in shelving and pillars, expansive ecliptic window overlooking the grounds and lake, to the charming master bedroom built within a turret, offering a 3-way fireplace, floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the water and sunsets, sunsets, sunsets! – decorative tray ceiling, doors to deck and a Romanesque ensuite-to-die for!

The custom built hardwood stairs is an especially beautiful structure and adds glamour and warmth to the stunning foyer.

The top level has an area designed to provide a private office or in-law suite. It has it’s own outside entrance and bathroom.  This area is currently used as an office and has a fabulous view.

Along with 2 more bedrooms and the main bathroom on this level, there is a large area that extends the whole width of the house (42.6' x 14') and is currently dedicated to holding business seminars with overhead training equipment. It’s not hard to imagine lots of uses for this delightful room.

The daylight basement is your very own private spa. A sauna, a hot tub built within the turret overlooks the lake, a gym complete with mirrors to watch the abs grow!

A delightful pub-style bar provides room for a pool table, shuffle board and even your very own home-theatre. A full bath finishes off this level as well as lots of storage (cold & regular) and the central-control room. Garden doors lead out to a stone patio and a backyard that sweeps down to the lake.

Whether it’s your vacation or year-round home, you’ll enjoy waking to the sound of the loons swooping over the lake, a morning boat-run up the river from your own dock, ice skate or cross country ski in the winter.
