With over 30 years of sales and marketing experience and several years of experience in a very challenging real estate market I can say that I love the business and it works really well for me. I have been very successful as a REALTOR(R) and much of my business comes from referrals from clients. I am a people person, animal person and genuinely enjoy my clients; I work very hard for them and at the end of the day I am only happy if they are as well.
I have specialized in Buyers and have had great success helping people find the home that is just right for them. Dealing with Buyers I have a very solid knowledge of the inventory that is out there. I know the market and the speed at which some properties will sell as opposed to others. I take the time to get to know my clients so I can understand exactly what they are looking for, then we spend time viewing the properties and the community. I do not use pressure; I want my Buyers to take their time so they feel really confident when they finally do decide to buy.
When I list a home I pride myself on selling within a few months. There is no magic trick to this just a lot of hard work. Again I spend time getting to know the clients, I want to know their impetus for selling and where they would like to see themselves at the end of the sale. We communicate at least once or every other week or once a month their choice. I make sure the clients know the market and are apprised of any changes; they receive monthly reports on all sales and listing that are pertinent to their property. I encourage my clients to make the market work for them; list wisely, work hard and sell fast. No one wants to be listed for several months and chase the market down. Happy sellers sell quickly and at market value.
I love the Annapolis Valley. I think it is the best place in the world to live. I am an active member of our community as a Rotarian and work hard staying involved with current issues. I am a real estate professional and approach my career with the same vigour that I apply to all aspects of life: Energy, Education and Commitment. The more I put into it the more both my clients and I get out of it.
I grew up in rural Southern Ontario, the youngest in a family that treasured values of accountability, confidentiality, competence, good faith, loyalty and obedience. These family values help me serve the needs of my clients as they go through the process of selling or buying a property.
Although Real Estate is my profession, I also co-founded avVaa World HealthCare Products Inc. I held the position of President and Chief Operating Officer after serving as Executive Vice President of Animal Care Products. I developed product branding for sales and marketing, specializing in consumer products. I am an accomplished equestrian rider and a dedicated breeder of Labrador Retrievers.
